Cast film lines for barrier film
SML’s cast extrusion lines for barrier film are designed for the creation of highly complex film structures with up to 11 layers for fresh food packaging. The targeted use of different raw materials in the layers helps to from an ideal barrier against oxygen, water vapour or external odours – ensuring a maximum shelf life of fresh goods. SML offers barrier film lines in widths from 1.6 to 4.5 metres as a standard. Nevertheless, they are highly customisable: They can be fitted with special HO-LT extruders for high output rates of heat sensitive materials, and winders for mother rolls or inline slit rolls. Beside state-of-the art machinery, SML shares extensive process knowledge about the extrusion of different raw materials, always depending on the final product.
