Theresa Ojomo

Mrs. Theresa Ngozi Ojomo hails from Agbor, Delta State. She attended Mary Mount College, Agbor, Delta State from where she obtained the West African School Certificate; Bayero University, Kano, graduating with a B. Sc in Chemistry and obtained a Masters degree (MBA) at ATBU Bauchi and Masters (M.Sc.) in Environmental Chemistry at University of Lagos.
Mrs. Ojomo served the NYSC scheme at Ideal Flour Mills Limited, Kaduna where she was retained as a permanent staff and worked as Laboratory Supervisor and Quality Control Manager till 2003. In 2004, Mrs. Ojomo moved to her present place of work - the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Lagos Office as Senior Standards Officer and rose through the ranks to Deputy Director and is currently the Group Head Chemical Technology.
In over thirty-two (32) years of professional Chemistry practice, Mrs. Ojomo has held such positions of authority as Head, Chemical Technology, Lagos Zone; Coordinator – Cosmetics Group. Secretary to Standards Technical Committee and Standards Project Supervisor on the drafting and publishing of various Nigerian National Standards for Chemical Products.
She is a lead auditor in most of the ISO Management Systems such as Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001:2015; Environmental Management Systems (EMS) ISO 14001:2015 Standards; Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) ISO 45001:2018; Laboratory Management System ISO 17025:2005 and Food Safety Management System ISO 22000:2018.
Mrs. Ojomo has attended several professional chemical courses both in Nigeria and Overseas in Uk, Germany, USA e.t.c . She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON). Fellow of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) where she is the current National Publicity Secretary, served as the CSN Lagos Chapter’s past Vice Chairman (2012 to 2015), former Membership Secretary (2010 to 2012) and former Treasurer (2008 to 2010), a Fellow of Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) UK and a member of Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST) from 1996 to date.
Mrs. Ojomo is a devout Christian, a Jerusalem Pilgrim (JP) and is married with children.
